This song was co-written with Greg Long and Don Koch and recorded by Greg Long. I remember well the day this song was written. We all met met in Don's studio like we had many times. My heart was particularly heavy that morning because a close friend of all three of ours had been in a major car accident over New Years and his wife was in pretty bad shape.

 

As typical of a writing session, the things that matter most almost always result in songs. No catchy title or clever hook needed. Just a reminder that what we need most in our toughest moments is for God to be near.
