Recorded by Charles Billingsley and co-written with Tony Wood and Don Koch. I've referenced a couple of Charles Billingsley projects on these pages. He is the former Worship Pastor at Thomas Road Baptist on the campus of Liberty University. The story behind this song however involved a different University in a different city.

 

For many years I was blessed to work with some of the musical groups from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. During the recording of one of these groups, we had pizza delivered to my house where they recording. I asked one of the singers to ask the blessing and his prayer went something like this: Lord, it's been a great day. Now we ask you to help us finish strong.

 

I confess as soon as I heard it, my mind began to wander a bit. It wasn't long before I got with Tony and Don and finished the song.
