Recorded by Connie Smith, Sharon White & Barbara Fairchild. Co-written with Wayne Haun and Jerry Salley. As a kid growing up in Michigan, I loved family vacations that took us through Nashville. An evening at the Ryman Auditorium was about as good as it could get for this young wannabe songwriter.

I loved hearing Connie Smith sing “Once a Day” and Barbara Fairchild singing the “Teddy Bear Song.” When these two talented ladies joined up with Sharon White (Ricky Skagg’s wife) to record a project together for Daywind back in 2003, I was pretty excited. The fact they picked one of our songs as the title cut made it even sweeter.
