Recorded by 4HIM and co-written with Mark Harris and Don Koch. Even though I don’t recall ever discussing it while writing this song, the lyric was pretty personal for me. Anyone who knows my story of leaving home at 17 years old to move to Nashville and pursue a songwriting career will recognize the autobiographical nature of this lyric.

 

 It is especially obvious in the start of the second verse that begins, “Well nobody wants to leave the familiar. When you’ve got all the comforts of home. Stepping out is not as scary as the worry of stepping into the unknown.”
